HOW DO I GET REIMBURSEMENT FROM MY INSURANCE?
Crumbs and Smiles does not bill insurance companies. However, you can be provided with a super bill/invoice to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
Contact your insurance and ask the following questions:
- Does my insurance reimburse out of network therapy services?
- The primary CPT codes we use are: (insurance knows these codes) 92610 – Clinical Bedside Feeding and Swallowing evaluation & 92526 – Feeding and Swallowing Therapy
- If reimbursement is allowed, what is the process for me to submit my invoices to claims?
- Do I need to obtain a prescription from my child’s primary doctor for therapy services and include it with my claims?
- Which conditions, if any, are specifically excluded from speech treatment?
- Is there a limit on visits?
- If we are unable to get into an in network provider, or one is not available in our area, do you provide a gap exception so that we can be reimbursed at their network rate?
